It was still very dark when I saw these guys walking around feeding near the main office at Canoe Creek State Park.  I had my camera settings bumped up to compensate for the lack of light, but it wasn't enough.  With the long lens (and the fact that I was shooting from my idling car) there was too much movement and blur.  So I had to go with this soft/painted look to salvage the shots.
